Wolfsburg off to their best ever start with another shutout away in Furth

Score: Wolfsburg 2 Greuther Furth 0FT

Wolfsburg attempted to keep their hot start to the season going as they went on the road against newly-promoted Greuther Furth as the newly-promoted side has been searching for their momentum. Even away from home, Wolfsburg would go into it as heavy favorites, and they showed it very early in the game. After a couple of early chances from the Greuther Furth, Wolfsburg broke through as a new signing, Nmecha found the bottom corner giving Wolfsburg a 1–0 lead. It was a very uneventful first half as either team provided all that much beyond the opening goal in the opening 10 minutes. In the second half, it was just cruise control from the wolves. Proving that their defensive dominance is legit, they are the best defense in the Bundesliga, and they proved it throughout. They may not have been threatened regularly, but when the hosts were starting to grow some confidence and get into those dangerous areas, the defense was able to deal with those situations. A complete dictation from Wolfsburg as they slow the ball down and just kept driving looking for those three points. Wolfsburg is not a team that will outscore you, but they’ll get it over to and hold you hostage, and that’s exactly what they did. We’re given a penalty in the closing moments of the game at the brink of stoppage-time Wolfsburg. Wout Weghorst stepped up has he converted, taking out the bottom corner as Wolfsburg took a 2–0 lead an eventual Victory as Wolfsburg have there how to start they’ve ever had to start a Bundesliga campaign. The question has been asked before the season which team gives Bayern Munich the biggest threat in the title race this season this could change in a matter of weeks, but it appears to be Wolfsburg the best defense in the league, having only conceded once and the goal they did concede was from the penalty spot as Wolfsburg remain perfect.

Mark Van Bommel, as usual, would set up his Wolfsburg team out of the 4–2–3–1 formation. In goal would be the Belgium International Conan Casteels. At left-back would be at Yannick Gerhardt beside him would be the center-back partnership of Maxine LaCroix and Bornauw, then at left-back would be riddle Baku. In the defensive Midfield, we would see Max Arnold alongside Guilavogui sitting underneath the Striker as the Central attacking midfielder would be Max Philip. To his left would be new signing Waldschmidt on the opposite side, the right would be Nmecha, then upfront as of the central Striker would be wout Weghorst.

After preparations and predictions, the match was underway as the Bundesliga is back following the International break. As a top of the league, Wolfsburg would take on newly-promoted Greuther Furth. Wolfsburg came into the game as big favor, and they showed it early with a big advantage in possession and looks like the much stronger team. However, Greuther Furth attempted to draw First Blood with a header misfiring off a set-piece, then a few minutes later, Cedric got denied from point-blank range by Konan Casteels. A few early chances for the hosts. However, in the 10th minute, Wolfsburg put themselves in front on their first chance of the game. Wolfsburg showed a threat from inside the box as wout Weghorst supplied a pass to new signing Lucas Nmecha just from the side of the box who buried the ball into the bottom corner to get Wolfsburg a 1–0 lead it would be his second goal of the season. 10 minutes later, Wolfsburg came close to adding a second as a Waldschmidt truck from the side of the box but didn’t have the finishing touch required. It turned out to be a very physically challenging game between two teams needing points for a very different reason. The hosts are still searching to get something going this Bundesliga season; meanwhile, Wolfsburg has been the best team in the league this season as they stand perfect at the top of the table, only having conceded one goal. If Wolfsburg was going to be a severe title Contender, they needed to show consistency throughout. The truth is this game and did not have a lot of chances in the first half; we saw Wolfsburg controlling possession and dictating the game with the hosts trying to find a little bit of space to occasionally come forward with an opportunity Wolfsburg seemed to control there is a few chances in the second half. Still, nothing came to fruition Wolfsburg was playing tough away from home as they would hold on to a narrow 1–0 lead after a relatively uneventful first half despite Wolfsburg being in front.

It was a strong first-half from Wolfsburg. Now that they had the lead, they could just control the game and see themselves out, especially considering their defense. Wolfsburg let the hosts attack them in the second half as they had a couple of chances to start the second half. How Wolfsburg we’re defending, there never seemed to be any fear of conceding a goal. 2 minutes into the second half, Cedric strike from outside the box was dealt with by Casteels a few minutes later, they messed with a strike from the side of the box testing the goalkeeper. Still, they didn’t need to react as the Belgium International was on top of it even though the shot misfired. Wolfsburg continued to push the ball forward while still feeling to have control defensively. Much like the first half, this wasn’t a game that provided a lot of attacking football at were a lot of chances. Visually speaking, this Wolfsburg team at times is not that entertaining to watch, but they’re very efficient and what they do. They have the players they can get into those spaces, but they don’t give anything up to sensibly, which is why they sometimes let the opposition attack them when they have the lead. With about 20 minutes remaining, Conan Castillo denied Cedric, who struck the Wolfsburg from outside the box; he forgot his hand to it dealing with the situation. Wolfsburg was starting to grab a little bit of offensive momentum following the safe. Waldschmidt came close, but he hooked a shot at just a little left after being set up by Baku. Just a minute later, Wolfsburg looked to begin again once again. Baku was orchestrating as Maxine LaCroix connected through the air, but The Keeper denied his header. Both teams made a collection of changes with Dodi Lukébakio, a new Wolfsburg loan signing who ironically scored the only goal that Wolfsburg has conceded this season. Wolfsburg took him on loan shortly afterward. John Brooks also entered the match, getting a little bit of a run-out. Both teams continue to battle into the closing stages of the game; in the 90th minute, Wolfsburg won a penalty with an opportunity to put the game away once and for all. Wout Weghorst stepped up after missing a penalty in the opening game. Still, this time he could make no mistake forcing a goalkeeper to guess the wrong direction as his strike is buried into the bottom corner as Wolfsburg took a 2–0 and ultimately Come Away with three points as the wolves have their best start to a Bundesliga campaign in club history.

Wolfsburg remains top of the table and looks like a severe Contender for the Bundesliga title. This is the best start to a season that the club has ever had. It’s unclear in the end who will be listing the Bundesliga title, but one thing is certain Wolfsburg will be in a title race this evening. The Bundesliga teams have looked by far the most impressive; they’re doing this without scoring many goals. They’re using the Atletico Madrid philosophy to score a few goals but not conceding any. Wolfsburg has only conceded one goal, and the goal they did concede against Hertha Berlin what’s from the penalty spot. Regardless of the combination of Defense, Wolfsburg can shut down a side of the field. Before taking this job, Mark Van Bommel hadn’t been a manager since 2019; he is all but the real deal no manager in Wolfsburg history has ever won the first four games to start the campaign. He’s doing this with Squad rotation and knowing how to put his players in the best position possible to win games. In their win against RB Leipzig, they lost one of their best players in Xaver Schlager Wolfsburg still dominated. They get an early goal to put themselves in front of control possession and hold off because they get a late penalty and convert to put the game away for good. Still, the defensive pressure was that they engaged against the team has made things incredibly difficult. They may not have a high-flying team with extraordinary talent, but they’re getting the best out of its players at the house. Not to mention they have some really talented players they just don’t have the level of talent that some of the teams around the map they have been much more secure and consistent than both Dortmund and Bayern Munich even though those players has significantly more talent the man of the match tonight is the new signing from Koln Bornauw John Brooks was given rest after playing all of the United States qualifying games they plug in the new man and he comes up big significantly limiting what the opposition could do against them Wolfsburg here is they have players that can score goals and as long as they’re finding the back of the net and converting is going to go when they have their opportunities they’re going to continue stay at the top of the table this Wolfsburg team is for Real they provide a game plans that’s infuriate and frustrate their opponents this is only the beginning Wolfsburg have everything in their team could push Bayern Munich make no mistake this Wolvsburg team is for real they have no fear did they win yet again staying at the top of the pile German Football.
